Art is in the Air 2011
Thursday, November 3, 2011
We are grateful for everyone who came out to support the arts education programs of The Imagine Bus Project on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at the Presidio Golden Gate Club. Last year’s theme, Spark your Imagination, shed the light on the importance of art and creativity in our lives. The evening was successful in raising over $50,000, and inspiring guests to support underserved children and youth to continue to develop hope, imagination, and inspiration through the arts.
Co-Chaired by Susan Flakus and Donna Miller Casey, the Art is in the Air gala was also supported by these wonderful in-kind donors: 1300 on Fillmore, Angelina's Cafe and Catering, Boulevard Restaurant, Bocadillos, Paragon Restaurant & Bar, Piperade, and Skool Restaurant, as well as, fine wines by Acacia Vineyards, Contessa de Carneros, Miura Vineyards, and Tejada Vineyards.
In additional to fine wine and food, auction items by renowned Bay Area Artists and Designers were featured. Participating artists included Antique and Art Exchange, Shelby de Quesada, William Duff Jr., Vicente Franco, Sevilla Granger, Tracy Griffith, Pierre Guettier, Stephanie Hamilton-Oravetz, Cameron Hirigoyen, Jane Kelly, Stacie Krajchir-Tom, Alison Lufkin, Tamara Mack, Mayra Madriz & Toby Lewis, Jose Luis Garcia Lomas, Nima Oberoi, Frank Oravetz, Kate Schermerhorn, Celia Tejada, Wendy Tyndall, Laurie Vanina, Michal Venera, Jennifer White Kuri, and Jon Wollenhaupt.
Attendance at Art is in the Air ensures The Imagine Bus Project (TIBP) continues to provide high quality arts education experiences to underserved children and youth throughout the Bay Area. TIBP’s professional Teaching Artists support young people to explore their creative potential, develop critical thinking skills, and build self-esteem.
